The April ASHRAE chapter meeting will be held at the Greenheck Corporate headquarters (near Wausau), on April 16^th at 1:30.  A tour of the factory will follow.

There will be a technical presentation on dedicated outside air units (applications).

The date for the 2013 chapter golf outing has been changed to May 29th.

Make plans to attend the 2013 chapter seminar.  Presentations will be based on ASHRAE standard 189.1, Standard for the Design of High-Performance Green Buildings.

Standard 189.1 provides a “total building sustainability package” for those who strive to design, build and operate green buildings.  The standard sets the foundation for green buildings by addressing site sustainability, water use efficiency, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and the building’s impact on the atmosphere, materials and resources.  It is a compliance option in the 2012 International Green Construction Code™

Cost for registration is $75 before March 9, and includes lunch.

Attendees receive credit for 6 professional development hours.

The January 8^th meeting at Liberty Hall is cancelled because of a last minute scheduling conflict with the technical speaker.

In lieu of the chapter meeting, join several of your ASHRAE friends at the Einstein Expo this year.  We will be helping budding scientists make their own ice cream using coffee creamers.  We did this last year and were one of the more popular booths.

The expo takes place on January 12 at Shopko Hall in Green Bay.  There will be three shifts of two people manning the booth.  The shifts will be: 8:15 to 11:00 AM, 10:45 to 1:30 PM and 1:15 to 4:15 PM.  Please let me know which time slot you can help at.  If you want to help but don’t have a time preference let me know and I can assign you to a time where we need help.

Where: St. Brendan’s Inn, 234 S Washington St, Green Bay.

Time: Happy hour 6:00 to 7:00, dinner at 7:00 PM.

Menu:  Choice of Celtic Honey Chicken, Sautéed Walleye Fillet, Ennis Lamb Shank or NY Strip Steak.  Dinners can be selected the evening of the party.

It’s past presidents’ night so dinner is free for them. All others $25.

The November newsletter has been published with the meeting notice for the 13th.

Bio-digester at UW Oshkosh.

Date: Tuesday, October 9th.  The tour will begin at 4:30 and will last one hour.
